Kimri and KaMar’s wedding is one that reflects how people who have been married at Hawkesdene, or simply have experienced a wedding here, can influence other couples to celebrate their special day here as well. Kimri and KaMar first heard about Hawkesdene at a casual dinner with friends. Upon the mention of their engagement their friends quickly raved about their recent wedding at Hawkesdene. Kimri was sold immediately. So much so, she called us within weeks and put down a deposit sight unseen…without telling KaMar! She finally confessed and both came for a visit, where they were instantly sold – THIS is where they would become Mr. and Mrs. Galloway! They even created a brand new handshake for their wedding day, making their union official in a most personal way.
On their wedding day, having chosen an alternative to the traditional wedding party, so that loved ones would feel more included, all guests were asked to wear shades of brown and green – browns for immediate family and greens for guests. The couple knew these colors, against the backdrop of the fall foliage and mountains, would be beautiful and harmonious in this setting. The event was a vibrant fusion of Kimri’s and KaMar’s lives, both of their families and beloved friends, radiating joyful love from the moment they kissed (and shook hands) as man and wife. Vows were shared behind the Reception Gallery along Colvard Creek, with the joy-filled celebration continuing in the outdoor Open Air Pavillion. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience of “phenomenal vibes, incredible food and unparalleled scenery,” fondly remembered.
Maddie Kay, who shot their wedding video, incorporated Super8 camera footage to give portions of their wedding video a cool vintage vibe. Kimri and KaMar had some fun shooting video of each other while Emilie Gates captured photos of them up in the Hawkes Nest.
