A cool chill in the September breeze acted as a welcome counter element to the warmth that abounded at the reunion-style, knot-tying event for Kim and Corey at Hawkesdene. Diversity and family were the overarching themes during this weekend of love and celebration for these two career engineers and their families and friends. For years Kim and Corey had looked forward to a time when all of their favorite people, usually spread across New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, would come together as one. After visiting Hawkesdene, as their first stop on a search for the perfect venue, one that captured the essence of family, combined with a comforting natural ambiance they mutually loved as fans of the North Carolina outdoors, it was quickly clear that no other venue compared. Hawkesdene was perfect and they knew it. The rest is beautiful, memorable forever history, a time when all of the ones they love, including each other, joined together in the western mountains of North Carolina.
